Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Power Shark (ranked 6141 p4p, 3638 weight class) and Cajetan Shashi (ranked 655 p4p, 465 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 19 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Power Shark! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cajetan Shashi! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shashi lands with a hook. Shark tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Shashi is looking to clinch but Shark is avoiding it.
Shashi misses with a takedown and Shark counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Shark scores with a head kick.

Shark is looking to slow Shashi down with leg kicks. Shashi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Shark tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Shashi throws a sloppy head kick and Shark moves out of range easily. Shark throws a low kick but it's checked well by Shashi. Shark looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Shark avoids a kick to the body.

Shashi throws a head kick that misses. Shashi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shark's waist but Shark gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shashi off to one side. Shark throwing a counter right hand but Shashi manages to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shashi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Power Shark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cajetan Shashi. A head kick misses from Shashi. Shark connects with a high kick. Shashi digs a good hook to Shark's body.

Shark throws a leg kick which misses Shashi's front leg but catches the back leg as Shashi tries to avoid it. Shashi misses with a hook. Shark ducked under it nicely. Shark swings for the body but Shashi moves out of range.
Shashi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Shark manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Shashi with the inside leg kick. Shashi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shark sprawls well. Shark wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shashi gets slowly back to his feet. Shark takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shashi throws a nice head kick!
Shashi with a nice cross. Shashi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Shashi wants to control from the top but Shark keeps moving. Shashi slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Shark tries to escape but Shashi is in control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shashi trying to control the action but Shark is working from the bottom. Shark tries to escape but Shashi is in control. Shashi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shark keeps working. Shark parries the strikes from Shashi easily there. Shashi is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Shark to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Shashi shoots in but no luck this time. Shashi avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Shashi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Shark tried to score with a low kick but Shashi checks it. Shark throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Shashi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Shark can pounce on him.
Shark looks to throw a body kick and Shashi counters with a straight right hand. Shashi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Shashi scores with a head kick. Shark tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Shark throws a head kick that misses. Shashi with a poor takedown and Shark counters with an outside leg kick.
Shark throws a head kick that misses. Shashi throws out a counter right but Shark avoids it with no problem. Shashi throws a head kick that misses. Shark is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Shashi. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Cajetan Shashi will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Shark scores with a head kick.
Shark throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Despite the aggression on Shashi's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Shashi fails with a takedown attempt. Shark throws a head kick but Shashi moves out of range.
Shashi misses with a looping right. Shark looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Shark misses with a series of wild punches.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shashi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shark sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shashi somewhat. Power Shark is winning the standup battle so far. Shashi shoots in looking for a takedown. Shark tries to sprawl out of it but Shashi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shark manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Power Shark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cajetan Shashi.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shark feints and then cracks Shashi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Shashi down. Shashi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shashi throws a series of punches but Shark avoids them all with ease. Shark tries a head kick but it misses.

and Shark counters with a one-two to the body. Shark lands a high kick to the side of Shashi's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Shark dives into guard, looking to finish.
Shashi is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shashi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Shashi is still in real trouble! Can Shark finish him? Shashi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shashi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shark doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shark manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Shashi seems to have recovered his senses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shark wants to stand but Shashi has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Shark got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shashi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shark has managed to get both his arms back between Shashi's legs - danger averted.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shashi working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Shark has passed into half guard!

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. The fighters are battling for position here. Shashi manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Shark knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shashi on the ground. Shashi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Shark defends it easily. Shark wants to stand but Shashi is controlling his posture from full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shashi throws a solid leg kick but Shark takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Shashi. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Power Shark dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Shark, as that shot connected.
Shashi fails to land the takedown. Shashi takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Shark fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Shashi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Shark counters with a nice uppercut. Shashi misses the shot to the body. Shark went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Shark tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shashi slips a jab and a cross from Shark.

Shark thinks about countering with a body kick. Shark uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Shashi has time to react. Shark connects with a high kick. Shashi misses with a right hand and Shark counters with a one-two to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shark misses with a head kick.

Shashi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Shark. That did some damage! Nice sprawl there from Shark as Shashi shoots in. As Shashi looks to move away, Shark throws a big counter combo but Shashi just gets out of the way. Shashi scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Shashi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Shashi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Shark is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Shashi has just dragged him back down to the mat. Shashi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shashi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shark is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Shashi working the ground and pound but Shark is defending the strikes. Shashi throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Shark works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Shashi looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Shashi seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Shark has recovered full guard. Shark is looking to stand up but Shashi isn't so interested in that idea.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Power Shark showed his dominance in that final round. I think Shark has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
