Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Lee (ranked 1208 p4p, 2643 weight class) and Gabriel Gracie (ranked 146 p4p, 254 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Gabriel Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

Lee scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Gabriel Gracie has been cut.
Gracie scores with a jab. Lee acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

It looks like John Lee has been cut.
Gracie ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
It seemed like Gracie was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Lee walks into a jab.
Nice sprawl there from Gracie as Lee shoots in.
Lee walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Lee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gracie circles away quickly and effectively.
Gracie swats away the attempt to clinch by Lee.
Lee throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gracie.

and Gracie makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lee takes one to the side of the head.
Lee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gracie looks like he wants to counter punch here.

and Gracie counters with a one-two to the body.
Lee takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Gracie misses with a series of wild punches.
Gracie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Lee.
Gracie is looking for a sweep.
Lee is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lee tries to score with some ground and pound. Gracie controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
You can see the frustration on Gracie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Gracie is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Lee is looking to stall here but Gracie recovers full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment.
Lee has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Lee is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gracie defends well.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lee is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gracie is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lee scores with a couple of nice shots.
Gracie is trying to control but can't.
Lee scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Gracie has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Natty Vincere. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Lee is nestled in close to Gracie, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Lee is just content to waste time from the top position. Gracie takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Lee not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Gracie looking for subs off his back but Lee has passed one foot through into half guard.
Gracie has hold of Lee's hands but Lee slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that John Lee will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

Gabriel Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Lee wants to clinch.
Lee feints a jab promting Gracie to slip. Lee then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gracie slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Gracie is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Gracie lands with an uppercut that bounces Lee off the cage and back into range.
Lee tries to land a front kick but Gracie steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Gracie looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Gracie dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
John Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gracie looks to land a combination. Lee sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gracie works Lee's body with a nice hook.
Lee tries to bum rush Gracie with a series of wild strikes but Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gracie smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Gracie darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Gracie drops Lee with a big left hand! Lee is injured, injured bad! Gracie jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
