Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

Tsuruta on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ispa. Ispa obviously looking to wear him down.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tsuruta enables Ispa to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tsuruta manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Ispa sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tsuruta's guard.

Ispa is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Ispa wants to work for an arm triangle but Tsuruta is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Ispa is looking for a kimura but Tsuruta is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ispa to get the leverage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ispa connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tsuruta. Tsuruta circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Ispa tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Tsuruta is able to avoid easily.

Ispa swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Tsuruta darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Ispa jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ispa just misses with a punch to the body.
Ispa's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Tsuruta connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ispa scrambles back to his feet.

Ispa throws out a leg kick but Tsuruta moves out of range and Ispa only half commits.
Tsuruta uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ispa.

A head kick misses from Ispa.
Tsuruta drops his hands momentarily and Ispa takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Ispa scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Ispa throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tsuruta stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Tsuruta takes one on the button.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tank Ispa dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ispa's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tsuruta under the eye.

Tsuruta ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ispa moves away.
Tsuruta with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ispa to score with a decent uppercut.

Ispa drops Tsuruta with a big left hand and mounts him. Tsuruta is in big trouble!

This has been an exciting period of action!

Ispa jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Tsuruta is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Tsuruta and Ispa has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Tsuruta is still in real trouble! Can Ispa finish him?

Ispa thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Tsuruta seems to have recovered his senses.

Ispa goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Tsuruta has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ispa but great work by Tsuruta.

Ispa is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Tsuruta stands up and we're back to a striking position.

and Tsuruta counters with a nice right hand that sends Ispa toppling to the canvas! Ispa scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Tsuruta finish him?!

Ispa gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Tsuruta points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Ispa wakes up just in time to hear Tsuruta thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
