Smith paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Owens missing with a left hand there. Smith was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Owens throws out a loose jab but Smith uses good head movement to avoid it.

Smith throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Owens stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Oooh a lovely combination from Smith sends Owens down but not out. Smith dives into side control looking to finish.

Let's hope that Smith has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Smith creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Owens sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

and Smith counters with a straight right hand.
The fight stays on the outside here - Owens looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Smith cracks Owens with an uppercut from hell and Owens crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Smith's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Smith seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Smith uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Owens.
A lazy left from Owens finds it's target.
Owens lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smith circles away quickly and effectively.

and Smith counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Owens throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Smith counters with a crisp right that sends Owens to the canvas! Smith follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
