Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rubicon Jay (ranked 4247 p4p, 7355 weight class) and Dudley Dilbrandt (ranked 390 p4p, 531 weight class). Dilbrandt comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Slam feat. Tyrone 'Visionary' Palmer - "Lifetimes (Extended Club Journey)" kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rubicon Jay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dudley Dilbrandt! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jorge Garcia and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jay closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Dilbrandt looks to throw an elbow but misses. Dilbrandt tries to stall but Jay uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Dilbrandt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Dilbrandt darts in trying to clinch and Jay counters with a stiff right hand. Dilbrandt is looking to clinch but Jay is avoiding it.
Dilbrandt tries to clinch but fails miserably and Jay counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Jay tries to pass to full mount but Dilbrandt defends it. Jay sitting and controlling from the half guard. We've been hearing that Jay has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Jay decides to return to a standing position. Dilbrandt tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jay swivels and escapes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dilbrandt tries to clinch but Jay moves away and Jay counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Dilbrandt badly! Jay follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Dilbrandt out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Jay finished him against the ropes.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rubicon Jay!
