Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Martin Robshaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Arnold Kallas! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Anthony Taglia and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Robshaw lands with an overhand left. Robshaw scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Kallas shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kallas was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Robshaw pushes Kallas away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kallas gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Robshaw is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kallas connects with a decent elbow. Kallas working the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kallas landing strikes. Kallas is trying to get an arm triangle but Robshaw is defending well. This has been an exciting period of action! Kallas working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Kallas tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Robshaw on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Kallas has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kallas throws a strike aimed at the side of Robshaw's head but Robshaw avoids it well. Kallas scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Robshaw to see if he's OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kallas lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Kallas lands a decent elbow from side control.
Robshaw is rocked! Kallas cracks Robshaw with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Kallas immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Robshaw is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Kallas!
