Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wallace Cobb (ranked 207 p4p, 327 weight class) and Jesse Kilpatrick (ranked 36 p4p, 50 weight class). Cobb kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Where's Wallace?. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wallace Cobb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jesse Kilpatrick!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kilpatrick jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Cobb scores with a nice head shot.
Jesse Kilpatrick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kilpatrick. Cobb does a little dance to reset his feet.
Cobb is looking to counter with head kicks.
A jab from Cobb misses.
Kilpatrick connects with a body shot.
Kilpatrick comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kilpatrick avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kilpatrick keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cobb.
Kilpatrick feints the counter takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kilpatrick lands with an uppercut that bounces Cobb off the cage and back into range.
Cobb scores with a punch to the head.
Kilpatrick lands with a good body shot.
Kilpatrick throws a body punch but Cobb moves out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Cobb on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kilpatrick misses with a takedown
and Cobb counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Jesse Kilpatrick has been cut.
Cobb looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kilpatrick looks to score with a jab to the body but Cobb is just out of range.
Cobb swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Kilpatrick's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Cobb connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kilpatrick scrambles back to his feet.
Cobb circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Kilpatrick tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Cobb wins by KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Wallace Cobb!
After winning the bout, Wallace Cobb thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
