Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Doug Sanches (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peyton Pyatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doug Sanches has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Doug Sanches! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peyton Pyatt! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanches shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pyatt pinned against the cage. Pyatt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Sanches tries to keep at a distance but Pyatt has taken the fight into the clinch. Pyatt lands with a left to the head. Pyatt working some nice short punches in the clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Pyatt creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Doug Sanches has been cut. Pyatt lands a hook to the side of the head. Sanches gets control of Pyatt's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sanches will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Pyatt controlling from the top position. Pyatt looking to pass the guard. Sanches manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pyatt manages to get himself to full guard.
Pyatt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanches. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pyatt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sanches throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Pyatt is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Pyatt tries to land a sweep but no joy. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pyatt can do anything to dispel that myth. Sanches passes into half guard. Sanches is pressing down on Pyatt's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pyatt is holding on for now. Sanches is breathing heavily. Sanches is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Pyatt wants to improve his position but Sanches is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanches prevents Pyatt from standing back up.
Sanches is looking to take a break and control but Pyatt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pyatt controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Sanches shoots for a takedown but Pyatt saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Peyton Pyatt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pyatt rushes Sanches and presses him up against the cage. Pyatt lands a hook to the side of the head. Pyatt is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Sanches fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Doug Sanches. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pyatt lands with a left to the head. A short right hand to the side of the head by Pyatt. Sanches tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pyatt smiles and moves away.
Sanches shoots in looking for a takedown. Pyatt tries to sprawl out of it but Sanches keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pyatt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Pyatt throws a right hand that Sanches ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanches also avoids with ease.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pyatt stuffs the takedown attempt from Sanches. Sanches gets slowly back to his feet. Pyatt gets in close and instigates a clinch. Pyatt scores with an uppercut up the middle. Sanches drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pyatt pulls his leg out and moves away.
Pyatt cracks a nice hook into Sanches's ribs. A decent looking cross lands there for Pyatt. Pyatt lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peyton Pyatt dominated that round. The cut man is working on Doug Sanches's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Sanches shoots in but no luck this time. Nice sprawl there from Pyatt as Sanches shoots in. Pyatt tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Pyatt has managed to clinch.
Pyatt lands a shoulder strike. Pyatt lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Sanches takes a shot to the head. A nice right hand lands inside from Pyatt. Pyatt works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Sanches is rocked!
Doug Sanches's cut is getting worse. Pyatt working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Oh Sanches is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pyatt lands an uppercut. Pyatt scores with a shot to the side of Sanches's head. Pyatt scores with an uppercut up the middle. A right hand to the body from Pyatt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pyatt lands a right hand that snaps the head of Sanches backwards. Pyatt creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Sanches's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Sanches drops to his knees and Pyatt pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Peyton Pyatt!
