PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tan Zan (ranked 1147 p4p, 2839 weight class) and Spas Spasov (ranked 135 p4p, 316 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tan Zan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Spas Spasov!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.

Spasov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zan tries to avoid it but Spasov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zan to the ground. Zan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Spasov wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Zan has him pressed against the cage.

Zan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

It looked like Zan was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Spasov.

Zan unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Spasov! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Zan is unloading with more strikes now! Spasov drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
