Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Dinklage (ranked 1943 p4p, 2171 weight class) and Farren Schoff (ranked 255 p4p, 280 weight class). Farren Schoff told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Dinklage! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Farren Schoff! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schoff fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dinklage, pushing him back against the cage. Dinklage is trying to break the clinch but Schoff is controlling him. Schoff fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Peter Dinklage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Farren Schoff. Schoff prevents Dinklage from breaking the clinch. Schoff pulls guard. Schoff throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Dinklage engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dinklage is looking to stand up but Schoff won't let him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dinklage got a little sloppy there for a moment and Schoff has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dinklage has managed to get both his arms back between Schoff's legs - danger averted. Schoff had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dinklage defends it easily. Dinklage seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dinklage wanted to stand there but Schoff had control of the position. Schoff is looking to cinch up a triangle. Dinklage throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Schoff's body to avoid the submission. Schoff has instead reached around Dinklage's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Schoff arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Farren Schoff! Farren Schoff seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
