With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Telegin! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Reed Andrews and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Telegin does it's job there. Telegin fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Fox on the side of the head. Fox misses with a head kick.
Telegin moves out of range of the body kick from Fox.
Telegin lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Fox takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Nice uppercut there from Telegin. Fox tries to close the distance and clinch up but Telegin swats him away and circles back towards the center. Telegin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Telegin throws a hook to the side of Fox's head but Fox sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Fox half committed to a counter leg kick. Fox thumps Telegin with a low kick. We've been informed that Telegin has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. A punch combination from Fox misses. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Fox as Telegin tries to tie him up. Telegin throws a head punch that misses. Fox creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fox stalling in the clinch but Telegin improves position. Fox tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Telegin has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Fox is trying to keep an underhook but Telegin manages to get the takedown into half guard. Telegin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fox defends it well. Telegin looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Telegin is trying for a kimura here. Fox looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Telegin wins by kimura!
