Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Reed (ranked 4175 p4p, 2588 weight class) and Zion Uroway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Uroway's choice of entrance music: "The Blob" Theme song from 1958. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Zion Uroway was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Big Reed! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Zion Uroway! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Reed misses the jab. Uroway staying out of range there. Uroway ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Reed moves away. Reed misses the shot to the body. Uroway drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Reed defends it well. Reed throws the left hand but Uroway avoids the punch easily. And Uroway tries to counter it with a takedown but Reed pushes his down on his head and steps out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Uroway misses with a jab to the body
and Reed cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Uroway swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Reed was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
That's one minute gone in the round. Uroway throws the left hand but Reed avoids the punch easily. Uroway dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Reed throws a hook to the side of Uroway's head but Uroway sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Uroway throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Reed swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Reed scores with a sloppy right hand. Uroway should have avoided that one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reed keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Reed appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Reed misses with a looping right. Uroway feints the counter takedown. Reed throws a looping overhand right but Uroway ducks down to avoid it. Uroway tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Uroway misses with a shot to the body and Uroway takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Zion Uroway has been cut. Uroway is trying hard to land a takedown here. Reed sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Reed throwing a counter right hand but Uroway manages to avoid it. Uroway tries to score a power double leg takedown but Reed sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Uroway somewhat. An attempted straight right counter from Reed misses the target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reed throws a hook but Uroway avoids it easily. Reed stuns Uroway with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Reed ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Reed connects with a crisp jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reed cracks Uroway with a good jab. A looping hook to the body misses from Reed. Uroway does a little dance to reset his feet. Uroway tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Uroway stuns Reed with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Reed throws a jab but it's blocked by Uroway. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Reed misses with a hook. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Big Reed dominated that round. The cut man is working on Zion Uroway's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Reed misses with a straight left. Uroway with the counter takedown but Reed avoids it easily. Uroway moves out of range of the strikes. Uroway drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Reed defends it well. Uroway ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Reed moves away. Reed was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Uroway lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Reed circles away quickly and effectively. Reed swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Uroway is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Reed rather than just go for the knockout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Uroway slips under a jab. Uroway with the counter takedown but Reed avoids it easily. Uroway tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Reed swivels and escapes. Big Reed is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reed changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Uroway avoids the body shot from Reed.
Uroway shoots in for a takedown but Reed shows good takedown defense. Uroway swings and misses with a shot to the body letting Reed counter with a right hand. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Uroway misses with a takedown attempt and Reed counters with a stiff right hand. Big Reed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zion Uroway. Reed comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Big Reed is winning the standup battle so far. Reed throws an off balance right hand
and Uroway counters with a single leg into guard. Reed didn't expect that. Uroway slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Reed keeping moving, preventing Uroway from controlling successfully. Uroway won't allow Reed to sweep him here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Uroway working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Reed's head. Uroway should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Uroway trying to control but Reed is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Uroway is working Reed over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Uroway controlling from the top position. Uroway has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Uroway lands a couple of digs. Uroway lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Uroway keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Reed's head. Uroway distracts Reed with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Uroway is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Let's hope that Uroway has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Uroway staying out of range there. Uroway tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Uroway tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reed was well out of range. Poor timing from Uroway. A counter left hand to the body from Reed misses its target. Reed dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Uroway moves out of range of the strikes. Uroway avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Uroway changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Reed misses with a hook. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reed throws a right hand that misses
and Uroway counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Uroway trying to control from half guard but Reed is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reed is trying to get back to full guard. Uroway takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Uroway working the head and body with strikes. Uroway wants to control but Reed is keeping him busy. Uroway controlling the action here. Ground and pound from Uroway. Uroway passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Reed! Reed is in a horrible position here. Uroway smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Zion Uroway has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Uroway lands with some strikes. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Uroway controlling from mount. Uroway in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Uroway lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Reed is rocked! Zion Uroway has got the better of the ground game so far. Uroway takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Reed taking shots to the head. Uroway landing strikes from the mount. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Uroway cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Uroway lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Oh Reed is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Reed takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Uroway's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zion Uroway! Zion Uroway decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
