Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Beardsley (ranked 4564 p4p, 4980 weight class) and Les Ferdinand (ranked 162 p4p, 174 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ferdinand throws a lazy uppercut
and Beardsley counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Les Ferdinand has been cut.
Beardsley tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ferdinand was well out of range. Poor timing from Beardsley.

and Beardsley counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Beardsley throws the left hand but Ferdinand avoids the punch easily.
Beardsley takes a swing at Ferdinand's ribcage but misses.

and Beardsley counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ferdinand connects with a looping right hand.

and Beardsley cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Beardsley uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ferdinand.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oooooh!!! Beardsley has knocked Ferdinand down with a huge combo! Beardsley steps away and waves a wobbly Ferdinand back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Ferdinand is rocked!
Beardsley lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Ferdinand falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

After the fight, Peter Beardsley was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
