Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Beltorfe Vic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Beltorfe Vic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, William Wilson! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Wilson. Vic is trying to improve his position. Wilson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Vic is working hard here to advance position. Vic gets back to half guard. Wilson trying to control from half guard but Vic is working away. Wilson tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Vic.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Vic gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Wilson counters with a shoot takedown. Vic fights it but they end up in guard. Wilson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Wilson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vic gets caught flat footed, as Wilson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Vic wants to sweep here but Wilson controlling him for the moment. Vic had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wilson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Vic Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wilson's back instead. Vic is breathing heavily. Wilson is trying to get back to his feet but Vic has full control of the position and if anything, Wilson has just worked his way into a worse spot. Vic seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Wilson's chin but Wilson turns very nicely into Vic's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Wilson.

Wilson trying to control the position from guard on top but Vic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Vic looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Wilson has picked Vic up and slammed him! Vic can't keep hold of the triangle and Wilson manages to pass to side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Vic has his takedown stuffed and Wilson counters with a shoot takedown. Vic fights it but they end up in guard. Vic can't keep his opponent in guard - Wilson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Vic looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Wilson content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Wilson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Wilson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vic is not content to let Wilson control the position. Vic is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Wilson pulls his head out easily. Wilson trying to control from half guard but Vic is working away. Wilson is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Wilson tries to control but Vic wriggling away. Wilson content just to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Despite being in the dominant position, William Wilson just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wilson feints and as Vic raises his hands in defense, Wilson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Wilson wants to control from the top but Vic keeps moving. Wilson passes Vic's left leg - he's now in half guard. Vic actively working from the bottom here. Wilson working over Vic with some ground and pound. Vic looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wilson decides to return to a standing position. Wilson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Vic checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
William Wilson dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Vic is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Wilson takes a swing at Vic's ribcage but misses. Vic misses with a takedown attempt and Wilson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Vic has hold of Wilson's hands but Wilson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Vic is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Wilson pulls his head out easily. Wilson slows the pace down in half guard. Vic actively working from the bottom here. Wilson decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Wilson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wilson shoots in and bounces Vic off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Vic is proving hard to escape from. Wilson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Vic looking for a guillotine here but Wilson defends easily.
Wilson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Wilson lands a couple of digs. Wilson stands up over Vic, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Wilson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Wilson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. William Wilson has got the better of the ground game so far. Wilson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Wilson trying to control but Vic is working from the bottom. Wilson wants to stand but Vic has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Vic has an active guard here but Wilson has managed to pass into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Wilson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Vic doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wilson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Vic's guard. Vic has his foot on Wilson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wilson works his way back into a safe position though. Vic working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wilson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wilson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Wilson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Wilson throws a right hand that Vic ducks under and follows up with a left that Vic also avoids with ease. Vic showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wilson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vic misses with a takedown attempt and Wilson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Vic won't be happy with that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Beltorfe Vic. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wilson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Wilson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A punch combination from Wilson misses. Vic misses with a takedown and Wilson counters with a head kick. Excellent takedown into side control there by Wilson. Vic is looking to reverse the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vic sneaks back into half guard. Vic is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Wilson pulls his head out easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
William Wilson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Wilson keeps the fight on the outside. Wilson thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Vic if he has to take too many more of those.
Left hook, right uppercut from Wilson. Wilson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Wilson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Vic looking for submissions off his back. Wilson slips a nice elbow through Vic's hands, connecting with Vic's forehead. Vic looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Vic looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Vic is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Wilson pulls his head out easily. Wilson content to control rather than advance. Wilson postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Vic to stand up. Wilson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Vic avoids a punch combination nicely.
Beltorfe Vic is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wilson tries a head kick but it misses.
Wilson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Vic paws at him with a jab and circles away. Vic doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wilson counters with a shoot takedown. Vic fights it but they end up in guard. Wilson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Vic fails with the takedown and Wilson counters with a three punch combo that has Vic backing up. Vic nods at Wilson to acknowledge the strikes. Vic tries for a takedown but Wilson circles away easily and Wilson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Vic's guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Beltorfe Vic. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wilson wants to get up but he can't break Vic's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Vic is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Wilson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. William Wilson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Wilson moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Vic. Wilson stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Wilson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Vic shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wilson counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Wilson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Left hook, right uppercut from Wilson. Vic moves out of range of the body kick from Wilson.
Wilson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Vic fails with the takedown and Wilson counters with a nice uppercut. Beltorfe Vic has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wilson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vic.
And that's the end of the fight! William Wilson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wilson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
