Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eric Grant (ranked 4458 p4p, 4471 weight class) and Chung King (ranked 532 p4p, 0 weight class). Chung King has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Eric Grant's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chung King!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.

Grant shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. King manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

King working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Grant doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Grant manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

King bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Grant's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Grant is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Grant could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Grant seems keen to control King's posture.
King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grant swivels though and keeps the full guard.

King is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
King wants to control from the top but Grant keeps moving.
King is working Grant over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Grant might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
King postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. King connects with a nice short shot to Grant's temple.

Grant pushes King away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, King gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

King postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Grant looks a forlorn figure.

Chung King dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Grant throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. King tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Grant is in King's guard.

Grant stands and steps away. King gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

And King tries to counter it with a takedown but Grant pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Eric Grant is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

King is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Grant.

Grant closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Grant lands in his opponent's guard.

Grant gets to his feet - King follows without any prompting.
King looks to throw the jab but Grant is out of range.

King changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now King is on top in guard.

King lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
King content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
King stands and throws Grant's legs to the side, diving into side control.
King wants to control but Grant is keeping him busy.

King works to advance to full mount. Grant defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Grant in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Grant wants to hold on but King pushes him away.
King lands a big shot there that rocks Grant but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Eric Grant will probably get the nod.

King cracks Grant with a big right hand but Grant just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

King can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Grant is looking to escape.

Chung King comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well King has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
