Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Hecker Jr (ranked 6693 p4p, 25578 weight class) and Emanuel Haquerez (ranked 505 p4p, 579 weight class). Jeff Hecker Jr had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 147.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Emanuel Haquerez has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jeff Hecker Jr's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeff Hecker Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Emanuel Haquerez!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.

Haquerez tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Hecker Jr is able to avoid easily.
Hecker Jr seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Haquerez closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hecker Jr's guard.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Haquerez.
Haquerez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Haquerez's coach down at Cozad MMA Rio was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Haquerez's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Well Haquerez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
