Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Rader (ranked 1277 p4p, 1713 weight class) and Timo Juti (ranked 161 p4p, 207 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dennis Rader! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Timo Juti! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rader looks to land a right hand but Juti moved out of range. Juti gets in close and instigates a clinch. Juti pulls guard. Juti trying to control the position.
Rader is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Juti wants to improve his position but instead Rader has moved into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Juti wants to control but Rader is keeping busy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Juti can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rader is looking for a kimura but Juti is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rader to get the leverage. Juti is trying to control Rader's posture. Rader takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Juti! Rader is rotating here... this could be the end... Juti is out! Rader has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Dennis Rader! Dennis Rader was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
