Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between David Dilbrandt (ranked 2422 p4p, 7464 weight class) and Shane Myres (ranked 141 p4p, 268 weight class). Dilbrandt comes into the arena with Rock the Dragon blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Shane Myres!

Myres keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Myres tries to counter with a clinch but Dilbrandt shakes him off and moves away.
Myres gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Myres ducks under a wild hook from Dilbrandt.
Dilbrandt misses with a hook. Myres ducked under it nicely.
Sloppy strikes from Dilbrandt. Those never looked like landing.
Myres tries to counter with a clinch but Dilbrandt shakes him off and moves away.
Dilbrandt throws an overhand right that lands on Myres's shoulder, as Myres tries to avoid the shot.
Myres wants to counter with a clinch but Dilbrandt pushes him away.
Dilbrandt misses the shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dilbrandt throws a leg kick that misses.
Myres uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dilbrandt.
Dilbrandt works Myres's body with a nice hook.

Myres blocks a jab.
Dilbrandt sets himself, and Myres steps forward looking for the clinch! Dilbrandt avoids it this time.
David Dilbrandt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Myres takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Dilbrandt clobbers Myres with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Dilbrandt seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Dilbrandt throws a shot to the body.
Dilbrandt throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Dilbrandt lands with a hook. Myres tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Myres with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dilbrandt to score with a decent uppercut.
Dilbrandt connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Myres is rocked!
Dilbrandt walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Myres drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Dilbrandt swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Myres's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Dilbrandt!
