Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gary Mongol (ranked 4815 p4p, 4774 weight class) and Fried Slobberknacker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gary Mongol! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fried Slobberknacker! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mongol changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Slobberknacker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Slobberknacker is looking to reverse the position. Mongol will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Slobberknacker pushes Mongol away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mongol gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Slobberknacker is trying to escape the position but Mongol is controlling the position. Mongol has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Slobberknacker prevents Mongol from improving position. Mongol takes a little break here. Slobberknacker wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slobberknacker is trying to improve his position. Mongol tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slobberknacker trying to remain calm as Mongol controls from the top position. Mongol wants to stand but Slobberknacker has his arm trapped.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Slobberknacker lands a nice looking body shot.
Mongol tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Slobberknacker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Slobberknacker is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Slobberknacker uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Slobberknacker shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mongol defends it nicely. The fight moves into the clinch position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mongol's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nice uppercut there from Slobberknacker. Mongol takes a jab right on the kisser.

Mongol keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mongol manages to break the clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mongol looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Slobberknacker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mongol's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mongol's back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mongol covering up well under a series of strikes from Slobberknacker. Mongol trying to control but not successfully. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Slobberknacker's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Fried Slobberknacker dominated that round. That's time! Mongol's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Slobberknacker wants to clinch up but Mongol keeps it at a distance. Slobberknacker shoots for a double leg takedown but Mongol sprawls well. He's pushed Slobberknacker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Mongol shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Slobberknacker defends it nicely. Mongol drives through and clinches with Slobberknacker against the cage.
Slobberknacker putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Mongol in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. A nice left hand lands by Slobberknacker.

Still in the clinch, Mongol scores with a nice short uppercut. Mongol is trying to pull guard but Slobberknacker turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Mongol throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Slobberknacker blocks it with crossed arms. Slobberknacker lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Mongol has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Slobberknacker regains guard immediately. Slobberknacker has his feet on Mongol's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mongol with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Slobberknacker to score with a decent uppercut. Slobberknacker takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Mongol tries to clinch there but Slobberknacker circles away.

Horrible takedown attempt by Slobberknacker or perhaps it was just good defense by Mongol, which made it look bad. Mongol seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slobberknacker stuns Mongol with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Slobberknacker has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Slobberknacker gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A left hand lands to the body for Slobberknacker.
Slobberknacker tries to work over Mongol's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Mongol can't find room to land a body shot as Slobberknacker controls the action.
Slobberknacker lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Slobberknacker leaning his opponent against the cage. Slobberknacker throws a punch but it's blocked by Mongol. Mongol breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Slobberknacker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mongol scores with a takedown into Slobberknacker's guard. Fried Slobberknacker has got the better of the ground game so far. Slobberknacker looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Mongol passes into side control.
Slobberknacker tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mongol wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Mongol is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Slobberknacker's shoulder. That is not cool. Slobberknacker is trying to control Mongol's posture but Mongol avoids it. Mongol wants to stand but Slobberknacker is controlling his arm.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mongol stands up. Slobberknacker shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. A lazy left from Slobberknacker finds it's target. Mongol fails in his attempt to clinch. Mongol gets the takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Slobberknacker tries to improve position but can't. Mongol tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Mongol wants to stand but Slobberknacker has his arm trapped. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fried Slobberknacker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! Slobberknacker digs a good hook to Mongol's body.
Slobberknacker fails to land the takedown. Mongol defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Slobberknacker. Nice cross by Slobberknacker. Donk. Slobberknacker catches Mongol right on the button with a cross. Slobberknacker lands with a straight right. Mongol didn't see that one coming. Mongol rushes Slobberknacker and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Slobberknacker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slobberknacker tries to clinch but fails miserably and Mongol counters with a single leg into guard. Slobberknacker didn't expect that. Slobberknacker wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Mongol manages to pass to side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mongol frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Slobberknacker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mongol with a couple of short strikes. Mongol controlling his opponent. Mongol landing punches. Slobberknacker tries to hold on but Mongol postures up. Mongol putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Mongol controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Slobberknacker can do anything to dispel that myth. Mongol seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Slobberknacker for as long as he can get away with. Mongol working the ground and pound effectively.

Mongol controlling from the full mount. Mongol is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Slobberknacker has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Mongol is in the full mount, landing strikes. Mongol tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Slobberknacker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mongol. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Slobberknacker tries to control the position but Mongol now has his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mongol is not going to allow Slobberknacker to sit and survive in this position. Slobberknacker fending off the submission attempt from Mongol. Good control from Mongol. Mongol's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
And that's the end of the fight! Gary Mongol showed his dominance in that final round. I think Slobberknacker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
