Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Earl Ravenberg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Jaro Lalla! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.

Lalla doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ravenberg counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. No luck with that takedown attempt from Lalla. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lalla. Earl Ravenberg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jaro Lalla. Ravenberg looks to throw the jab but Lalla is out of range. Ravenberg displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lalla. Ravenberg has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Natty Vincere in the buildup to the fight. Lalla shoots and misses and Ravenberg counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Jaro Lalla has been cut. Jaro Lalla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ravenberg misses with a straight left. Lalla changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ravenberg looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Lalla tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Ravenberg regains half guard. Ravenberg wants to improve his position but Lalla is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lalla trying to mount his opponent but Ravenberg defends it. Ravenberg has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lalla is working away from the top position though. Lalla is looking to advance position but Ravenberg won't allow it. Ravenberg keeps control of the position for the meantime. My spies in JAG Battle Gym inform me that Lalla has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ravenberg is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ravenberg won't allow Lalla to pass to mount. Ravenberg works his way to full guard. Good work. Ravenberg looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Lalla trying to move into half guard but instead Ravenberg has managed to sweep!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ravenberg throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lalla works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lalla preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Ravenberg connects with a couple of short punches. Lalla is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ravenberg throws a big elbow that misses. Ravenberg is looking to work some ground and pound but Lalla has wrist control. Ravenberg is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Ravenberg stands up over Lalla, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Ravenberg wants to control from the top but Lalla keeps moving. Lalla utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ravenberg trying to control but Lalla is working from the bottom. Ravenberg throws a sloppy strike and Lalla has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Ravenberg is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Lalla!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jaro Lalla! Jaro Lalla tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
