Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Reilly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 16 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Cain!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reilly with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Reilly fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Good leg kick by Reilly.
Cain throws a body shot but no joy.
Reilly fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cain.
Reilly throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Cain counters with a stiff right hand.
Reilly lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Reilly misses with a wild combination.
Reilly lands a jab to the head.
Reilly bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A right-left combo lands from Cain.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Reilly closes the distance and pushes Cain back into the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Reilly.
Reilly gets through Cain's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Reilly throws a punch but it's blocked by Cain.
Reilly tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Reilly lands a nice shot to the body.
Cain controlling the action here for a moment.
Reilly misses with a short punch on the inside.
Reilly lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Cain breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cain blocks a head kick by Reilly.
A nice side step and Cain releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cain uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Reilly.
An inside leg kick lands from Reilly.
Reilly lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
We've been informed that Cain has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Cain tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Reilly lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
That kick from Reilly tenderised Cain's leg. Cain is trying to keep his angry face on.
Cain takes one to the side of the head.
Cain avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Reilly getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Cain fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Reilly manages to avoid it.
Reilly ducks under a wild hook from Cain.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Cain.
It looks like Reilly has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Reilly lands a lovely overhand right.
Reilly connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Reilly stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Reilly misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cain takes one on the button.

Cain is rocked!
Reilly throws a quick inside leg kick.
Cain is still on wobbly legs! Can Reilly finish him?
Reilly looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Reilly backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Cain's temple! It sends Cain violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Reilly celebrates and the doctors try to help Cain!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Mike Reilly!
A relieved looking Mike Reilly thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
