Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Larry Pierre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wilson keeping moving, preventing Pierre from controlling successfully.
Pierre trying to stand up but can't free himself from Wilson's guard.
Wilson pushes Pierre off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Wilson shoots for a double leg takedown but Pierre sprawls well. He's pushed Wilson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Wilson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Pierre has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wilson is working away from the top position though.
Pierre is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Pierre looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Wilson frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pierre is trying desperately to improve position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilson lands a big elbow.

Wilson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Pierre looks a forlorn figure.
Wilson tries to control but Pierre wriggling away.
Pierre is in a horrible position here. Wilson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Wilson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Pierre wants to control but Wilson is having none of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pierre wants to get back to his feet.

Pierre is rocked!
Pierre takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Wilson's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
