Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kev Kev Randleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cake Motown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kev Kev Randleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cake Motown!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Motown changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Randleman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Motown trying to control the action but Randleman is working from the bottom.
Randleman managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Motown.
The ground and pound from Motown seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Randleman could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Motown is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Randleman has escaped the position, nice work there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Motown goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Randleman rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Motown's guard! Nice work there by Randleman!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Randleman avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Motown keeping moving, preventing Randleman from controlling successfully.

Motown looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Motown escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Randleman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Motown working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Randleman has passed into half guard!

Motown is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Randleman pulls his head out easily.

Motown looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Motown trying to control but Randleman postures up.
Motown is staying active underneath Randleman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Motown is looking for a sweep. Randleman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Randleman with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Motown has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Randleman is working away from the top position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Motown wants to get back to full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Motown shoots in but Randleman avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Randleman swings for the body but Motown moves out of range.
Randleman just misses with a punch to the body.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Motown will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Randleman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cake Motown dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Randleman wants to clinch.
Randleman thows a body shot but no joy.
Randleman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Motown moves away.
Randleman swings for the body but Motown moves out of range.
Motown shoots in for a takedown but Randleman shows good takedown defense.

Randleman clinches up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Randleman lands an elbow inside.


It looks like Cake Motown has been cut.
Randleman lands an elbow that stopped Motown in his tracks for a moment.
Motown can't get the takedown.
Randleman lands an elbow inside that Motown shrugs off.
Randleman lands an elbow inside.
Randleman lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Motown avoiding damage as Randleman throws knees to the body.
Motown tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Kev Kev Randleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cake Motown.

Randleman pulls guard.
Motown prevents Randleman from getting back to his feet.
Motown preventing the sweep.
Motown wants to pass the guard but Randleman is keeping the position.

Randleman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Motown's guard.

Motown not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Motown has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Randleman is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Motown.

Motown wants to control but Randleman postures up.
Motown manages to work his way to half guard, despite Randleman's best efforts.

Randleman content to control rather than advance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Motown slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Motown isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Randleman stacks Motown on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Randleman!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Cake Motown's cut.

Motown changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Randleman tries to avoid it but Motown manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Randleman to the ground. Randleman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Motown shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kev Kev Randleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cake Motown.
Motown shoots for a double leg takedown but Randleman sprawls well. He's pushed Motown's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Randleman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Motown.

Randleman keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Motown shoots in looking for a takedown. Randleman tries to sprawl out of it but Motown keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Randleman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Randleman takes a swing at Motown's ribcage but misses.
Randleman stuffs the takedown attempt from Motown. Motown gets slowly back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Motown tries for a takedown but Randleman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Motown will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Motown uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Randleman.
Cake Motown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Motown blocks a leg kick.
Randleman is looking to wear down Motown with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Randleman sizes up Motown with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Randleman punishes Motown's body with a nice straight punch.
Randleman thuds a left hand into Motown's body.

Randleman closes the distance and clinches.
Randleman creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Motown's defenses.


That has opened up Cake Motown's cut even more.

Randleman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

The fight stays on the outside here - Randleman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Randleman gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Randleman lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The cut above Cake Motown's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Randleman.
Motown takes an elbow to the forehead.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kev Kev Randleman showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Randleman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
