Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antoine Rushe (ranked 6824 p4p, 6993 weight class) and Sky Genie (ranked 671 p4p, 679 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antoine Rushe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sky Genie!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.

Rushe lands a hook that snaps the head of Genie backwards.
Rushe lands a hook to the side of the head.
Genie has Rushe pushed against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Rushe.
Genie lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Genie gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Genie sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Rushe defending well though.
Genie is looking to take a break and control but Rushe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rushe moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Genie is looking for a triangle but Rushe pushes his legs off easily.

Genie is pulling down on Rushe's head to control his posture.

Genie ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Genie no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Antoine Rushe will probably get the nod.

Genie fails with a takedown attempt.
Both fighters circling a little - Rushe finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Rushe lands a high kick!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Genie throws a head kick that misses
and Rushe counters with a straight right hand.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rushe enables Genie to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rushe manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Rushe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Genie wants to control but Rushe is keeping busy.
Genie wants to stand back up but Rushe manages to pass into side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Genie tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Rushe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Genie keeps working.
Rushe is staying tight to Genie's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Rushe tries to advance to mount but Genie instead regains half guard.
Genie tries to get to full guard but Rushe has control of the leg.

and Rushe counters with a body kick that stops Genie in his tracks momentarily.

Rushe misses with a knee to the head.
Genie is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Genie has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rushe uses from the top position.

Genie manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Genie throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Genie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rushe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rushe seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Genie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Genie is refusing to be controlled, as Rushe sits in half guard.
Genie tries to kick Rushe off but Rushe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Rushe seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Genie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Genie wants to control but Rushe is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Rushe looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Rushe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Genie lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Genie throws a head kick but Rushe moves out of range.
As Genie tries to get set, Rushe tries to push him back and clinch up but Genie manages to avoid the attempt.
Rushe is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Genie closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Genie thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rushe's head.
Rushe wants to control but Genie is keeping busy.
Rushe slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Rushe is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Genie looking to sit in guard and control but Rushe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rushe, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
