Bird looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bird slips a jab and a cross from Guzman.
Bird walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Guzman connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Bird has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Bird will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Guzman swats away the attempt to clinch by Bird.
Bird walks into a stiff left hand from Guzman.
Bird shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Guzman swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Miguel Angel Guzman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Geezer Bird.
Bird wants to clinch up but Guzman keeps it at a distance.
Guzman seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
The fighters circle momentarily. Guzman darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Guzman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bird.
Guzman definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Bird shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Guzman sprawls well. Guzman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bird gets slowly back to his feet.
Guzman seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Guzman bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bird's head.
Guzman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bird uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Guzman.
Bird is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

It looks like Geezer Bird has been cut.
Miguel Angel Guzman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Guzman walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Bird drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Guzman swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Bird's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
