Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Steele (ranked 125 p4p, 501 weight class) and Roy Roach (ranked 18 p4p, 68 weight class). Steele's entrance music is Manowar - Heart of Steel. A fine choice. Roach has chosen Jump Around, House of Pain as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 20 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Stanley Steele! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Roy Roach! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.

Roach told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. Roach takes a knee to the side of the body. Steele prevents a body shot from Roach. Steele pushes Roach back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Steele has a couple of punches blocked by Roach.

Steele lands a left hand that snaps the head of Roach backwards. Roach lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Roach tries to land knees in the clinch but Steele avoids the damage to the body. Steele pulls guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Steele holds on and takes a little breather. Roach must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steele looking for a sweep. Not yet Steele, not yet. Steele is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions.
