Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keller Hoyt (ranked 4727 p4p, 5188 weight class) and Chris Kilroy (ranked 445 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and Chris Dean.

Hoyt moves away from the strike by Kilroy.
Hoyt moves into the clinch.
Kilroy is trying to push Hoyt away but Hoyt has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Hoyt gets control of Kilroy's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hoyt will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Kilroy is pushing Hoyt's head away, looking to escape. Hoyt manages to hold on to the position though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hoyt looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kilroy is avoiding damage well.
Kilroy avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Hoyt.
Hoyt stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Kilroy is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Hoyt dives into side control.

Hoyt misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Hoyt thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hoyt is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kilroy has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kilroy!
Kilroy is fighting to break Hoyt's control of his arms but Hoyt is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hoyt has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kilroy off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
