And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Brian Becker!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Francis DeMontford and Darius Henderson.

Becker jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kirby lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Becker lunges at Kirby with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kirby's hand.
Kirby shoots in but no luck this time.
Becker defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kirby.
Nice takedown defense from Becker. No joy for Kirby on that attempt.
Becker is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Kirby with a body shot.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Becker should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

As Becker looks to move away, Kirby throws a big counter combo but Becker just gets out of the way.

Becker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Kirby takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Brian Becker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kirby walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

and Becker counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Becker defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kirby.

Kirby misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rex Kirby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Becker scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kirby will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Becker has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Becker is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kirby had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

and Becker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Donk. Becker catches Kirby right on the button with a cross.

and Becker counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kirby takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Kirby is rocked!
Kirby is aggressively charging in as Becker backs up avoiding any damage. Becker tosses out a jab and Kirby runs right into it face first! Kirby is out cold! Becker dropped down on all fours and is barking in Kirby's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
