PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between JoJin Hashi (ranked 4878 p4p, 4779 weight class) and Test Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hashi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, This Fire Burns. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, JoJin Hashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Test Fighter!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.

Hashi is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Test Fighter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fighter gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hashi to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Fighter has control of Hashi's left arm, preventing Hashi from doing any damage.
Fighter's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fighter clobbers Hashi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Fighter avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fighter slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Fighter as Hashi shoots in.
Fighter misses with a two punch combination.
Hashi tries to clinch there but Fighter circles away.
Hashi walks into a jab.

Fighter throws a body shot but no joy.
Hashi fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hashi closes the distance and clinches up with Fighter, looking for a takedown. Hashi pushes Fighter against the cage but Fighter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JoJin Hashi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hashi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fighter but Fighter pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fighter lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Fighter cracks Hashi with a good jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hashi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fighter sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Fighter looks to land a combination but Hashi avoids it well.
Fighter lands with a hook. Hashi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Hashi shoots in but Fighter avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hashi is breathing heavily.

Fighter scores with a sloppy right hand. Hashi should have avoided that one.
Hashi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Fighter finds it's way round the side to connect with Hashi's head.
Fighter circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hashi fails to land the takedown.
Hashi tries to clinch up but Fighter circles away and keeps his distance.
Fighter has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Fighter uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hashi has time to react.
Hashi takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Hashi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Fighter counters with a stiff right hand.

Hashi tries to clinch up but Fighter circles away and keeps his distance.
Oh Hashi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fighter throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Hashi's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Fighter dives in looking to finish as Hashi flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Fighter's strikes! Fighter is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Hashi's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Hashi was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Test Fighter!
JoJin Hashi was interviewed post fight and said 'im sorry i dont feel like talking but i will he was..... well.... ill just say he was the better man......'.
