Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Elliott Guthrie (ranked 4895 p4p, 4766 weight class) and Ogre Emele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Elliott Guthrie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ogre Emele! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guthrie fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A low kick from Guthrie misses and Emele counters with a nice double leg into side control. Guthrie won't be happy with that. Emele tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Guthrie pushes Emele away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Emele gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Emele tries for a kimura but Guthrie is defending well. Emele has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guthrie trying desperately to get to his feet.
Emele working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Emele is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Guthrie can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Emele has control of Guthrie's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Guthrie regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Guthrie wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Emele looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Guthrie is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emele with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Guthrie is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Emele is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Emele wants to finish this one by submission but Guthrie is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Emele. You get the feeling that Guthrie really doesn't like being in this position too much.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Guthrie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Emele is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Guthrie has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Guthrie! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Guthrie is looking to stand up but Emele won't let him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ogre Emele dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Guthrie gets a clinch. Guthrie throws an elbow but it misses.
Emele drops down looking for an ankle pick but Guthrie pulls his leg out and moves away.
Guthrie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Emele swats him away and circles back towards the center. Guthrie misses with a combination
and Emele counters with a nice double leg into guard. Guthrie is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Emele dives into side control.
Guthrie tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Emele is working for a guillotine from mount but Guthrie frees his head quite easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Emele goes for an armbar but Guthrie turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Guthrie. Emele has a closed guard, preventing Guthrie from standing up. Guthrie wants to stand and escape but instead Emele has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guthrie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Emele manages to get himself to full guard.
Guthrie has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Guthrie wants to stand but Emele has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Guthrie wants to stand and escape but instead Emele has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Guthrie wants to get back to his feet but Emele passes into half guard.
Emele seems to be working for a kimura but Guthrie defends the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guthrie is trying to escape back to his feet but Emele uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Guthrie is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Emele passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Guthrie! You get the feeling that Guthrie really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Guthrie wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Emele has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Guthrie taps furiously! This one is all over!
