Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Mark Steve (ranked 1935 p4p, 5344 weight class) and Miguel Cotto (ranked 38 p4p, 95 weight class). Steve kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Its a fine day to whoop somebodies ass. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 26 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Steve! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 39 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miguel Cotto! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steve waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Cotto. Steve closes the distance and pushes Cotto back into the ropes. Cotto scores with an uppercut up the middle. Steve breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Steve throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Cotto looks to land a right hand but Steve moved out of range. Steve ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cotto moves away. Cotto gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cotto doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Steve blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Steve lands a nice uppercut. Steve blocks an uppercut.
A nice right hand lands inside from Steve. Cotto lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Steve. Steve misses with the head strike.

Cotto lands with a right to the head. Cotto looking to throw knees to the head but Steve is blocking nicely.

Cotto throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Steve misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cotto.
Steve is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Steve has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Cotto finds it's way round the side to connect with Steve's head. Steve misses with a jab to the body
and Cotto counters with a leg kick. Steve has managed to clinch.

Steve escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Cotto works Steve's body with a nice hook. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Steve walks into a stiff left hand from Cotto. Steve throws an off balance right hand
and Cotto counters with a lovely straight right hand! Cotto throws a chopping leg kick but Steve manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Steve tries to move into range but Cotto moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Steve clinches with his opponent.
Cotto tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Cotto scores with an uppercut up the middle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Miguel Cotto dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Steve gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Cotto lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Steve closes the distance and clinches. Cotto blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Steve lands an uppercut. Steve scores with a nice hook to the head. Cotto lands with a short shot to the head. Steve's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cotto has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A nice inside leg kick there by Cotto. That's going to slow Steve down. Steve takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Steve tries to clinch up. Cotto is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Steve steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cotto. Steve throws a shot from downtown. Cotto moves away and avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cotto is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Cotto instigates a clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Cotto. Steve manages to break the clinch.
Steve wants to land a leg kick but Cotto is out of range. Cotto throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Steve. Steve fires out a quick counter leg kick but Cotto just manages to avoid it. Steve takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Steve tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Cotto connects with an inside leg kick. Steve's jab looks to have found its range, popping Cotto under the eye. Steve dodges the punch combination from Cotto.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steve swinging wildly here.
Cotto looks for the body kick but Steve saw that one coming. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cotto lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Steve has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Steve and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Steve circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cotto throws a wild body kick that Steve sees coming a mile off. An attempted straight right counter from Steve misses the target. Steve throws a predictable looking body shot
and Cotto makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Cotto misses with a combination
and Steve counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Miguel Cotto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Steve fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cotto, pushing him back against the ropes. Steve scores a nice knee to the body.
Steve lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Steve lands a shoulder strike. Steve escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cotto takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A big right from Steve misses. Steve gets in close and instigates a clinch. A head punch on the inside from Steve fails to land. Steve trying to land knees to the body.
Steve tries to throw a body punch but Cotto avoids it by throwing Steve back against the ropes. Cotto blocks a punch to the side of the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Cotto. Cotto tries to work over Steve's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Cotto misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Steve.

Steve lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Cotto blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Cotto misses with some punches.
Steve lands with a right to the head. Steve tries a knee to the head but Cotto blocks it.
Steve blocks an elbow strike from Cotto.
Steve breaks the clinch.
Steve wants to clinch up but Cotto keeps it at a distance. Mark Steve has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cotto throws a leg kick that misses. Cotto ducks under a wild hook from Steve. Steve wants to clinch up but Cotto keeps it at a distance. Steve misses the shot to the body. Steve swinging wildly here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A jab from Steve misses. Cotto with the inside leg kick. Steve tries a low kick but Cotto avoids it. Steve backing away here, and Cotto unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Cotto steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Steve. Cotto appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Steve misses with a two punch combination.
Steve loads up on a big right hand but Cotto slips the punch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cotto uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Steve. Cotto swats away the attempt to clinch by Steve.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Steve showed his dominance in that final round. I think Cotto has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Miguel Cotto! Miguel Cotto tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool. Mark Steve spoke after the fight, saying 'broke both my hands on that thick skull and played hell on any offense....and I aint much on defense.....'.
