Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Balthazar Baker (ranked 7215 p4p, 3940 weight class) and Baldomir Barbosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Balthazar Baker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Baldomir Barbosa!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.

Baker pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Barbosa back to the cage. Baker follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Baker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barbosa moves away.
Baker throws a combination that misses
and Barbosa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Barbosa tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Baker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Barbosa manages to avoid it.

Baker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Barbosa to the mat! Barbosa manages to get full guard.
Barbosa is wriggling around but Baker manages to pass to half guard.

Still in half guard, Baker seems content to control.
Baker has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Barbosa felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Baker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Baker is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Barbosa's shoulder. That is not cool.
