Burgundy looks to land a right hand but Smith moved out of range.
Smith waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Burgundy.
Burgundy connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Smith tumbling to the canvas! Burgundy pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Smith was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ron Burgundy!
Ron Burgundy looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'In my last fight i said i would retire but i cant go out on a loss. When i was offered the fight against Mike Smith i had to take it. Nice to go out with a devestating KO. Sorry Mike but i knew i would KO you silly. Speedy recovery!'.
