Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Prince Kheldar (ranked 5631 p4p, 5329 weight class) and Jack Selman (ranked 571 p4p, 557 weight class). Jack Selman told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Prince Kheldar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Jack Selman! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kheldar cracks Selman with a good jab. Selman avoids a punch combination nicely.
Selman goes for a double leg but Kheldar avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kheldar continues to drive forward. Kheldar lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Selman tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kheldar defends well and Selman ends up having to push Kheldar into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. The fight moves into the clinch position. Selman misses with a body punch.
Selman has Kheldar pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kheldar manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Prince Kheldar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Selman. Selman with the Thai clinch. and Selman moves into the clinch. Kheldar blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Selman lands a shoulder strike. Selman tries a body shot but Kheldar blocks it.

Kheldar scores with a nice head shot. Selman takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Kheldar moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Kheldar walks forward, straight into a front kick from Selman. Selman moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Selman tries a head kick but it misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Selman closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Selman tries to work over Kheldar's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Selman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Selman takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Prince Kheldar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kheldar closes the distance and lands a one-two. Selman looks winded! Danga de danga de dang - Kheldar scores with a four punch combination! Selman clinches. Selman decides to pull guard. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kheldar trying to control but Selman is working from the bottom. Kheldar won't allow Selman to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Prince Kheldar dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Kheldar displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Selman. Prince Kheldar is winning the standup battle so far. Selman walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. No joy there for Selman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

We've been informed that Selman has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Selman blocks a head kick by Kheldar.
Selman darts in looking for a takedown but Kheldar gets double underhooks and turns Selman into the cage. Kheldar swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Kheldar feints a jab promting Selman to slip. Kheldar then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Selman slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. A jab from Kheldar finds it's way through Selman's defenses. Selman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kheldar as he jumps to the side. Selman dodges the punch combination from Kheldar.

Kheldar slips a jab and a cross from Selman.

And that's the end of the fight! Prince Kheldar showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kheldar, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
