Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johannes Brahms (ranked 328 p4p, 215 weight class) and Tud Stoddler (ranked 43 p4p, 24 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Brahms might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to 40 : 1 - Sabaton. Stoddler has chosen Arcade Fire - Ready to Start as his entrance music. Tud Stoddler is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 7 - 3, fighting out of New York, Johannes Brahms! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 24 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tud Stoddler! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brahms lands with a right hand. Brahms moves away from the strike by Stoddler. Brahms stuns Stoddler with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Stoddler lands a nice shot to the body.
Stoddler throws a hook to the side of Brahms's head but Brahms sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Stoddler scores with a nice strike.
It looks like Johannes Brahms has been cut. Brahms throws a series of punches but Stoddler avoids them all with ease. Brahms chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Brahms attempts a counter takedown but Stoddler avoids it well and moves away. Decent striking displayed by Stoddler there. Horrible takedown attempt by Brahms or perhaps it was just good defense by Stoddler, which made it look bad. Brahms misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stoddler.
Brahms throws out a loose jab but Stoddler uses good head movement to avoid it. Stoddler appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brahms. Stoddler connects with a looping right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round. Brahms is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Stoddler's half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Brahms tries to pass to full mount but Stoddler defends it. Stoddler is staying active underneath Brahms, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Brahms controlling the action here. Brahms wants to control but Stoddler is keeping him busy. Brahms is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Stoddler defends it well. Stoddler controlling the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brahms wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stoddler keeps working. Brahms is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Brahms thows a huge punch but Stoddler dodges it nicely.

He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Brahms lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. We've been hearing that Brahms has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Stoddler wants to control but Brahms is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from Brahms. Stoddler is trying to maintain the position but Brahms is very close to passing his half guard. Stoddler keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brahms is trying to control. Stoddler wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Brahms content to control rather than advance. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Stoddler is looking to improve his position.
Stoddler is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Brahms connects with a nice short shot to Stoddler's temple.

Brahms takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Brahms prevents Stoddler from improving his position. Stoddler gets full guard. Stoddler keeping moving, preventing Brahms from controlling successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brahms trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Brahms is in close to Stoddler's body, working some short punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johannes Brahms dominated that round. The cut man is working on Johannes Brahms's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Brahms scores with a leg kick.
Stoddler tries a low kick but Brahms avoids it. Brahms fails with the takedown and Stoddler counters with a straight right hand. Tud Stoddler seems to be getting the better of the standup. Stoddler blocks a jab. Stoddler slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Stoddler throws a shot from downtown. Brahms moves away and avoids it. Stoddler checks the leg kick nicely there.
Stoddler appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Stoddler fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Brahms has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Brahms throws a body shot but no joy. The crowd cheers as Stoddler lands an impressive looking overhand right. Brahms doesn't seem phased though. Brahms with a nice calf kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stoddler moves out of range as Brahms throws a body kick.
A slow jab from Brahms misses its intended target. Brahms ducks under a wild hook from Stoddler. Stoddler connects with a looping right hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brahms.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stoddler is looking to land body kicks. Brahms looks for a takedown but Stoddler sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johannes Brahms. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brahms goes for a double leg but Stoddler avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stoddler continues to drive forward. Stoddler counters with a body kick. Stoddler is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Brahms tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stoddler sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brahms somewhat. Stoddler throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Stoddler throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Stoddler feints and then cracks Brahms's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Brahms down. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Stoddler, as that shot connected.
Stoddler stuffs the takedown attempt from Brahms. Brahms gets slowly back to his feet. Stoddler fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Brahms looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stoddler cracks Brahms with a good jab. Brahms throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stoddler was covering up waiting for the punch and Brahms finishes the takedown easily into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Brahms tries to free his leg and advance position but Stoddler is retaining full guard. Stoddler wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Brahms has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Brahms trying to control but Stoddler is working from the bottom. Johannes Brahms overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Stoddler pulls Brahms in close to prevent any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brahms accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brahms wants to control from the top but Stoddler keeps moving. Brahms is fighting to break Stoddler's control of his arms but Stoddler is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Brahms swings away with a body shot that misses
and Stoddler connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Stoddler throws a lazy right hand but Brahms sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Brahms shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Stoddler counters with a thumping low kick. Nice uppercut lands for Stoddler. That snapped Brahms's head back.
Stoddler tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Brahms misses with a body punch
and Stoddler cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Stoddler throws a nice inside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stoddler keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Stoddler cracks Brahms with a right hand to the side of the head. Stoddler cracks Brahms with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Stoddler connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Brahms moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Stoddler lands a slapping body shot.
Stoddler misses with a looping left. Brahms feinted with a counter takedown. Stoddler checks a low kick from Brahms. Stoddler throws a body shot but no joy. Stoddler thows a left - swing and a miss! Stoddler cracks Brahms with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Brahms is looking to wear down Stoddler with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brahms is defended easily by Stoddler. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brahms. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tud Stoddler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Johannes Brahms's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! Stoddler with the inside leg kick. Stoddler throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Brahms needs to keep his hands up - Stoddler had a free shot at his head there. Brahms jabs Stoddler right on the nose. Stoddler blinks but takes it well. Good shot there by Stoddler. Brahms throws a jab but it's blocked by Stoddler. Stoddler jabbing away but nothing is landing. Brahms on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Stoddler stuffs the takedown attempt from Brahms. Brahms gets slowly back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brahms takes one on the button. Stoddler connects with a right hand. Brahms shakes it off. This has been an exciting period of action! Stoddler throws a hook but Brahms avoids it easily. Brahms missing with a left hand there. Stoddler was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Brahms closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Stoddler's guard. Brahms loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Brahms trying to control but Stoddler is working from the bottom. Stoddler has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Brahms postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brahms advances position into side control! Stoddler struggling a bit here. Stoddler is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Brahms's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Stoddler holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Brahms trying to control from Stoddler's half guard. Stoddler has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Brahms trying to control but Stoddler is working from the bottom. Brahms works over Stoddler with some ground and pound from guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brahms lands a couple of digs. Brahms trying to control the position from guard on top but Stoddler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Stoddler working a defensive guard but Brahms passes into half guard.
Stoddler is refusing to be controlled, as Brahms sits in half guard. Stoddler preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Stoddler blocking the ground and pound attempt from Brahms. Brahms is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Stoddler keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Brahms is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Stoddler reverses the position - he's now on top in Brahms's guard. Stoddler is pushing down on Brahms's leg trying to pass to half guard. Brahms is fighting to maintain full guard but Stoddler has managed to sneak the leg through. Stoddler wants to control but Brahms is keeping him busy. Stoddler is looking to advance position but Brahms won't allow it. Well, if Stoddler is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
And that's the end of the fight! Tud Stoddler comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Stoddler has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Tud Stoddler! After the fight, Tud Stoddler was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
