Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Don Cartagena (ranked 19503 p4p, 2176 weight class) and Jao Rua (ranked 615 p4p, 246 weight class). Cartagena's entrance music is The Crack Attack. A fine choice. Rua has chosen Tarantula as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

Cartagena jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Cartagena bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rua's head backwards.
Cartagena swinging wildly here.
It seemed like Rua was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Rua lands a leg kick that knocks Cartagena off balance momentarily.
Nice body punch from Rua.
Cartagena moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Rua throws a lazy right hand but Cartagena sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Cartagena scores with a big combo that sends Rua crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but the referee has seen enough as Rua flops around uncontrollably and he's called an end to the fight! Cartagena jumps onto the ropes and throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Gross.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Don Cartagena!
Don Cartagena decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
