Takenaka on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Malone fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Takenaka manages to avoid it.
Takenaka works over Malone's head and body with a nice combination.

Roku Takenaka overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Takenaka is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Malone is just riding it out for now. Takenaka eventually gives up the hold.

Takenaka is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Malone still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Malone has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

and Malone counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Malone lands a left and a right that send Takenaka crashing to the mat, dazed. Malone thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Are you kidding me?! Malone ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Takenaka clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!

A relieved looking Mitch Malone thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
