Johnson instigates a clinch.
Minamino looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Minamino has clasped his hands together around Johnson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Johnson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Minamino wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Johnson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Minamino is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Johnson is trying to maintain the position but Minamino is very close to passing his half guard.
Johnson is pressing down on Minamino's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johnson is on top in guard.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Minamino keeps moving.
Johnson stands and throws Minamino's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Johnson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Minamino some visible discomfort.

Minamino is working to avoid the ground and pound but Johnson connects with a decent elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Minamino is trying to escape and Johnson transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Minamino is forced to tap! Nice work there by Johnson! Very nice indeed!
