Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Moore (ranked 283 p4p, 125 weight class) and Just Whymer (ranked 44 p4p, 23 weight class). Moore's entrance music is Sad Man's Tongue by Volbeat. A fine choice. Carl Moore is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carl Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Just Whymer!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.

Whymer takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Whymer ducks under a wild hook from Moore.
Whymer tries a head kick but it misses.
Whymer walks into a straight right hand from Moore.

letting Whymer counter with a right hand.

Moore changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Whymer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Whymer is looking for a sweep.
Moore has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Whymer keeps trying to improve his position.

Moore tries to move into full mount but can't pass Whymer's legs.

Moore lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Moore has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Whymer's face.
Whymer is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Whymer is bucking up trying to escape but Moore cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Moore cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Whymer wants to control but Moore is having none of it.

Whymer in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Whymer manages to regain half guard whilst avoiding the strikes.

Moore tries to pass to full mount but Whymer defends it.
Whymer has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Moore is nestled in close to Whymer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Moore is just content to waste time from the top position. Whymer takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Whymer looks for the body kick but Moore saw that one coming.
Carl Moore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Whymer throws a right and a left that both miss.
Moore moves out of range of the strikes.
Moore shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Whymer as he jumps to the side.
Moore backing away here, and Whymer unleashes a leg kick that just misses.

Carl Moore overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Whymer avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moore postures up in Whymer's guard and throws a big left but Whymer blocks it.
Moore is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Whymer can do to turn this around?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Moore stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Whymer swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Moore has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Moore shoots in for a takedown but Whymer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Horrible takedown attempt by Moore or perhaps it was just good defense by Whymer, which made it look bad.
Whymer was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Moore. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Whymer cracks Moore with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

It looks like Carl Moore has been cut.

Moore dives in and scores a takedown into Whymer's guard.
Moore looking to pass the guard.
Moore wants to control from the top but Whymer keeps moving.
Moore in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Whymer preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Moore thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Moore slips nicely into half guard.
Moore wants to free his trapped foot but Whymer is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Moore throwing shots but Whymer is blocking nicely.

Moore is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Whymer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Moore.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Whymer keeping full guard, as Moore tries to pass.
Moore postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Moore accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Moore trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Moore's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Whymer scores with a spinning back kick!
Whymer connects with a leg kick.
Whymer keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Moore.

Moore gets the takedown into side control.

Whymer sneaks out the side door and pushes Moore away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Whymer lands a big head kick that sends Moore tumbling to the mat! Whymer takes a step backwards and waves Moore back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Moore is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Moore looks to throw the jab but Whymer is out of range.
Oh Moore is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Moore glances at the clock... BAM! Whymer nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Moore crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Moore is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Just Whymer!
Just Whymer thanked the fans post fight for their support.
In defeat, Carl Moore stepped up to the mic, saying 'No one likes seeing their opponent's hand raised, but that just means that they were the better man today. My team at 3Band MMA and I will break down this match and make the proper changes for my next camp.'.
