Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between William Snowdon (ranked 574 p4p, 787 weight class) and Konstantin Kuznetsov (ranked 88 p4p, 118 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, William Snowdon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Konstantin Kuznetsov! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.

Kuznetsov drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Good exchange - Snowdon coming out on top. The fighters circling - Snowdon throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kuznetsov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Snowdon fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three minutes gone in the round. Kuznetsov connects with the punch. Snowdon shoots in looking for a takedown. Kuznetsov tries to sprawl out of it but Snowdon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kuznetsov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A little jabbing left from Kuznetsov on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for William Snowdon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Snowdon looks to land a left hand but Kuznetsov moved out of range nicely. Snowdon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kuznetsov ducks under a wild hook from Snowdon. Snowdon looks to land a combination but Kuznetsov avoids it well. Snowdon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kuznetsov's guard. Kuznetsov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Snowdon throws a jab but it's blocked by Kuznetsov. Kuznetsov looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to William Snowdon. Well Kuznetsov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
