Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mathew Anderson (ranked 25900 p4p, 4948 weight class) and Wayne Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Nice takedown defense from Carter. No joy for Anderson on that attempt.
Anderson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Carter shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Carter showed some decent athleticism there.
Anderson is breathing heavily.
Anderson has hold of Carter's hands but Carter slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Carter is looking to advance position but Anderson won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Carter working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Carter in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Anderson tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Carter!
