PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gul Dukat (ranked 6212 p4p, 5794 weight class) and Dwight Schrute (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dukat comes into the arena with Guillotine (Swordz) blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Dukat doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Schrute counters with a left to the body.
Schrute comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Dukat throws a big shot that misses.
Dukat tries for a takedown but Schrute sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Schrute lands a nice looking body shot.
A slow jab from Schrute misses its intended target.
Dukat fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Schrute avoids it really well and circles away.

Dukat bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Schrute is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Schrute is trying to escape the position but Dukat is controlling the position.

Dukat wants to lay and pray for a moment but Schrute keeps working.
Schrute seems a little lost for a moment, as Dukat dominates the positioning.

Dukat works to advance to full mount. Schrute defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Schrute really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dukat. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Schrute is squirming around, avoiding Dukat's attempts to control the action.

Dukat working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Schrute looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Dukat! Submission of the night perhaps?
