Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Peterson (ranked 216 p4p, 199 weight class) and Tank Ispa (ranked 36 p4p, 30 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Peterson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 23 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Tank Ispa! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Ispa does it's job there. Ispa with a nice cross. The fight stays on the outside here - Peterson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ispa has a takedown stuffed. Peterson clinches with his opponent.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Peterson. Peterson lands an uppercut. Ispa is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Peterson to keep the fight standing. Ispa creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Ispa pushes off an throws an elbow but Peterson leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Peterson swings away with an uppercut that misses.

George Peterson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tank Ispa. A head punch blocked on the inside by Peterson. Ispa tries to pull guard but Peterson holds him up against the cage and eventually Ispa drops back down to his feet.

Ispa is trying to trip Peterson. He has hold of a leg but Peterson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ispa persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Ispa looking to sit in guard and control but Peterson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Ispa has his foot on Peterson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Peterson works his way back into a safe position though. Peterson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Peterson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Ispa wants to sweep here but Peterson controlling him for the moment. Ispa lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ispa postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Peterson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ispa, into his guard.

Peterson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Ispa is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Peterson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Peterson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ispa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Peterson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Peterson postures up.
Ispa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ispa throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Ispa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tank Ispa dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ispa keeps the fight on the outside. Peterson tries to clinch but Ispa is having none of it. Peterson is looking to clinch but Ispa is avoiding it.

Peterson tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ispa avoids it. Ispa looks to throw an elbow but misses. Ispa tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. With the fighters up against the cage, Ispa throws an elbow but misses. Ispa misses with some punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! With the fighters clinched against the cage, Peterson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Ispa tries to work over Peterson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Peterson wants to stall.

Ispa lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Peterson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Ispa changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Peterson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Peterson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Ispa has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Peterson rushes Ispa and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Ispa tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. A nice glancing elbow lands by Ispa. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Peterson. Ispa doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Ispa shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ispa showed some decent athleticism there. Ispa seems to be looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ispa moves into full mount! Peterson won't be happy about that! Ispa wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Peterson wants to hold on but Ispa pushes him away. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ispa trying to control but he's not successful this time. Peterson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tank Ispa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on George Peterson's cut. Tank Ispa has got the better of the ground game so far. Ispa holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. George Peterson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ispa felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Peterson looking to ground and pound but Ispa is blocking nicely. Ispa is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Ispa is working to get back to half guard.
Ispa gets back to half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ispa is trying to maintain the position but Peterson is very close to passing his half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! George Peterson showed his dominance in that final round. I think Ispa has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
