Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Elias Munhoz!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lacerda tries to clinch up but Munhoz circles away and keeps his distance.
Munhoz looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Lacerda looks for a takedown but Munhoz sprawls well.
Munhoz stuffs the takedown.
Munhoz throws a head kick that misses.
Munhoz throws a head kick that misses.
Munhoz throws a head kick but Lacerda moves out of range.
Munhoz throws a sloppy head kick and Lacerda moves out of range easily.
Lacerda shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Munhoz as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio Lacerda. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lacerda lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Munhoz circles away quickly and effectively.
Lacerda shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Munhoz's guard.
Lacerda is stalling in the full guard.
Lacerda postures up and lands a big shot to Munhoz's brow.
Munhoz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lacerda. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lacerda slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Lacerda controls the position.
Lacerda has hold of Munhoz's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Munhoz seems comfortable defending it but Lacerda has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Munhoz is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Munhoz is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Lacerda couldn't care less - he's delighted!
