Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mark Red (ranked 4938 p4p, 5165 weight class) and Krill Andrew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Red! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Krill Andrew! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andrew moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Andrew keeps Red at a distance using the push kick. Andrew scores with a kick to the midsection. Andrew throws a head kick that misses and Red counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Red works his way into side control. Andrew throws Red to one side and escapes! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Andrew has closed the distance and engaged Red in a clinch.

Red slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Andrew is not content to let Red control the position. Red is trying to get an arm triangle but Andrew is defending well. Red controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Red is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Andrew has escaped the position, nice work there. Andrew is looking for a sweep. Andrew is trying to control Red's posture but Red avoids it. Red could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Andrew is not content to let Red control the position. Red tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Red has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Andrew tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Red wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Red is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Andrew is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Red taking a breather here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Andrew can do anything to dispel that myth. Red moves into full mount! Red looking to control and managing it successfully. Red working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Andrew looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Red! Submission of the night perhaps?
