The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.

Pearson throws a leg kick but Laine checks it.
A good leg kick by Laine.
Laine takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Laine bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Pearson's head.
Pearson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Pearson throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

and Laine counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pearson throws a hook but Laine blocks it.
Laine has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Pearson loads up on a big right hand but Laine slips the punch.
Pearson slips a jab and a cross from Laine.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Laine thuds a left hand into Pearson's body.
Pearson misses with a body kick.
Laine swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Pearson lands with a kick to the ribs.

Pearson pushes Laine up against the cage in a clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Pearson.
Laine tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Laine pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Laine connects with a solid leg kick.
Laine is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Pearson throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Laine counters with a slapping leg kick.
Pearson misses with an uppercut
and Laine counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Laine checks a low kick from Pearson.
Laine throws a big counter head kick but Pearson avoids it with no problem.
Pearson delivers a nice body kick.

Pearson has closed the distance and engaged Laine in a clinch.

Laine breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A lazy left from Laine finds it's target.

Pearson is rocked!
Laine rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pearson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Oh Pearson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pearson throws a head kick but Laine moves out of range.
Pearson misses with a hook. Laine ducked under it nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Laine lands with a right and another and another! Pearson is in big trouble! Laine lands again and this time it's lights out for Pearson! A quality knockout there for Laine.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Muuka Laine!
After the fight, Muuka Laine was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
