Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ronie Cash (ranked 3785 p4p, 2453 weight class) and Pinchi Puto (ranked 483 p4p, 330 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ronie Cash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pinchi Puto! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good shot there by Puto. Puto steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cash. Puto connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cash. Cash circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Puto throws a jab but it's blocked by Cash. Puto scores with a nice head shot. Puto will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Cash getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Puto thuds a left hand into Cash's body. Puto throws a hook but Cash blocks it. Cash fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Puto checks it well. Puto thuds a left hand into Cash's body. Puto tried to score with a low kick but Cash checks it. Puto misses with an uppercut. Cash saw that one coming. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Puto scores with a nice right hand.
Puto has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Puto throws a low kick but Cash avoids it. Cash slips a straight right by Puto. Puto doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Cash paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Cash throws a leg kick and Puto connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Cash throws a low kick but Puto avoids it. Puto tries to move into range but Cash moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Puto swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Cash. Cash moves out of range as Puto strikes. An attempted straight right counter from Cash misses the target. Cash fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Cash connects with a body shot that sends Puto's belly button to the back. Cash throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Puto appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Puto swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Cash lands with a thumping leg kick.
A low kick lands for Cash.
Puto checks a low kick from Cash. Cash throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Puto is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Cash with a body shot. Cash displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Cash on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Cash is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The fighters circle momentarily. Puto darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Puto throws a head kick that misses. No joy there for Cash, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cash misses with a straight left. Cash missing with a left hand there. Puto was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Cash throws a solid leg kick but Puto takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Cash. Puto is looking for the big counter here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Puto looks to score with a jab to the body but Cash is just out of range. Cash went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Cash has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA Tokyo in the buildup to the fight. Puto throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cash throws a hook but Puto avoids it easily. Puto throws a jab when Cash was well out of range. Cash steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Puto. Puto throws a nice looking combination but Cash bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Cash jabbing away but nothing is landing. Cash lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Puto throws an overhand right that lands on Cash's shoulder, as Cash tries to avoid the shot. Puto lands with a nice body punch. Ronie Cash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cash fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Puto on the side of the head. Puto loads up on a big right hand but Cash slips the punch. Puto showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cash.
Puto is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
A chopping leg kick lands by Cash. Cash closes the distance and lands a one-two.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cash looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Cash scores with a jab to the body. Puto scores with a jab to the head.
Cash ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Puto throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Puto throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Cash with a nice calf kick. Puto throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Cash comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Cash uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Puto.

Cash throws a nice looking combination but Puto bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. The crowd cheers as Puto lands an impressive looking overhand right. Cash doesn't seem phased though. Puto misses with a hook. Cash ducked under it nicely. A little feinted left hand from Cash on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The fighters circle momentarily. Puto darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Puto plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Cash is rocked! A jab from Cash misses. Oh Cash is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cash throws a body shot but no joy. Cash seems to have got his legs back now. A jab from Puto misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Puto loads up on a big right hand but Cash slips the punch. Puto misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Puto shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Cash misses with a looping left. Cash moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Puto defending well as Cash loads up on a big left hand. Puto drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Cash right on the button. Cash goes down! Puto follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Puto gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pinchi Puto! In his post fight interview, Pinchi Puto started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
