Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Louis Nasty! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Igor Slavoski! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good exchange - Slavoski coming out on top.
It looks like Louis Nasty has been cut. Slavoski avoids the head kick by Nasty.
A big left from Slavoski misses. Slavoski throws a big shot that misses. Igor Slavoski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Slavoski misses with a right hand and Nasty counters with a left and a right that stings Slavoski. Nasty closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Slavoski quickly recovers to half guard. Nasty trying to mount his opponent but Slavoski defends it. Nasty throws a strike but Slavoski avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Nasty showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Slavoski preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nasty is looking to work some ground and pound but Slavoski has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nasty gets to his feet. Slavoski looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! A momentary lapse in concentration from Slavoski enables Nasty to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Slavoski manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slavoski wants to stand up but Nasty is controlling him. Nasty is stalling in the full guard. Nasty slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Slavoski avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Nasty.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Slavoski's face as Nasty controls the position. Nasty stands up. Slavoski avoids the head kick by Nasty.
Nasty decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Nasty keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Nasty seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Slavoski for as long as he can get away with.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nasty's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Nasty works his way into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nasty staying calm. Slavoski regains half guard, as Nasty was trying to land strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nasty thows a huge punch but Slavoski dodges it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Louis Nasty dominated that round. The cut man is working on Louis Nasty's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Nasty fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Slavoski blocks the body kick.
Nasty fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Slavoski to the ground. Nasty is now in Slavoski's guard. Nasty stays in close to Slavoski's body and controls the position. Nasty with a flurry of punches that miss. Louis Nasty overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Nasty passes into half guard. Nasty takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nasty passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Slavoski! Nasty get's back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slavoski throws a hook but Nasty blocks it. Nasty attempts a counter takedown but Slavoski avoids it well and moves away. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nasty. Nasty throws out a leg kick but Slavoski moves out of range and Nasty only half commits. Nasty moves into the clinch successfully.
Slavoski is looking to break free of the clinch but Nasty has double underhooks. Slavoski breaks the clinch.
Nasty is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Slavoski can do to turn this around? Slavoski throws an off balance right hand
and Nasty counters with a straight right hand. Slavoski waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Nasty. Nasty blocks a jab. Nasty closes the distance and pushes Slavoski back into the cage. Slavoski gets underhooks to prevent Nasty's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Louis Nasty. That's going to take a lot out of him. Slavoski breaks from the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slavoski leaves Nasty with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Nasty fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nasty closes the distance and clinches up with Slavoski, looking for a takedown. Nasty pushes Slavoski against the cage but Slavoski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Slavoski throws a jab but it's blocked by Nasty. Slavoski feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Nasty sprawling to the canvas! Nasty rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Slavoski finish him?!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Slavoski waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Nasty. Slavoski misses with a lunging right hand
and Nasty counters with a takedown into side control. Nasty prevents Slavoski from escaping the position. Slavoski sneaks out the side door and pushes Nasty away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. A big right from Slavoski misses. A swing and a miss from Slavoski. BOOM! Slavoski lands a beautiful left hook that drops Nasty. Nasty tries to recover but Slavoski is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Nasty lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Igor Slavoski!
