Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Victor Andres (ranked 4690 p4p, 4724 weight class) and Larry Work (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Victor Andres! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Larry Work! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Work tries to keep at a distance but Andres has taken the fight into the clinch. Work keeps control of Andres as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Work is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Andres pulls him back up using the underhooks. Andres gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Work.

Work not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Work chips away with some ground and pound. Work is in close to Andres's body, working some short punches and elbows. Andres is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Work content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Andres is rocked! Work engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Oh Andres is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Larry Work will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Andres throws a lazy head kick and Work counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Andres seems to have got his legs back now. Still in half guard, Work seems content to control. Work controlling the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Work has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

He lands a short punch in the meantime. Andres is trying to maintain the position but Work is very close to passing his half guard. Work landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Work is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Work seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Work lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Work trying to control from half guard but Andres is working away. Andres tries to get to full guard but Work has control of the leg. Andres is trying to stand back up but Work is controlling him
Work winds up and cracks Andres with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Work working over Andres with some ground and pound. Andres looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Andres on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Andres is looking to escape. Work controlling the pace. Work's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Work winds up and cracks Andres with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

He's hurt bad - Work fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Andres from any more punishment! Congratulations to Work! Great finish!
