Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aldo Parise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aldo Parise!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Manny Machida!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


Parise is rocked!

Machida clinches up with Parise and pushes him back against the cage.
Oh Parise is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Parise breaks from the clinch.
Manny Machida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machida cracks Parise with a right hand to the side of the head.

Machida gets caught flat footed, as Parise shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Parise trying to control the position from guard on top but Machida is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Parise controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Machida keeping moving, preventing Parise from controlling successfully.
Machida wants to get back to his feet but Parise is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Parise seems to have got his legs back now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Parise gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Parise fails with a takedown attempt.
Parise fails to land the takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Parise looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Machida looking to control.
Machida is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Parise is controlling him.
Parise preventing the sweep.

Parise stands up from Machida's guard - Parise perhaps looking for a knockout.
Parise is breathing heavily.
Parise shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Machida as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aldo Parise. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Machida goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Machida looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Machida accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Parise trying to control the position.
Machida wants to stand but Parise is controlling his posture from full guard.
Machida lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Machida connects with a couple of short punches.
Machida throwing strikes but missing.
Parise wants to sweep here but Machida controlling him for the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Machida tries to keep at a distance but Parise has taken the fight into the clinch.
Parise goes for a takedown attempt but Machida pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Machida is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Parise shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Machida is trying to escape the mount.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Parise sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Machida wants to hold on but Parise pushes him away.
Parise content just to control the position here.
Parise has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Parise fails to take his opponent's back.
Parise landing strikes from the mount and Machida is in trouble!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Parise is landing with some decent strikes but Machida is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Machida tries to improve his position but instead Parise has taken his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aldo Parise dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Parise decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Parise performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Machida strikes from the bottom but Parise uses the opportunity to move to side control.

Parise decides to take the fight back to the feet.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Parise.

Parise fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Machida, pushing him back against the cage.

Parise gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Machida regains guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parise trying to control the position from guard on top but Machida is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Machida tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Machida is breathing heavily.
Parise controls from within his opponent's guard.
Machida is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Parise trying to hold on to Machida's head to control him but Machida postures up.
Machida is looking to pass Parise's guard but actually Parise recovers to full guard.

Parise working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Machida doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Parise is tightening it up a little... Machida has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Machida reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Machida taps out! nice BJJ there by Parise!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Aldo Parise!
